Here is a portrait photo I captured for my assignment.

What I learned

Taking this picture taught me much more than just how to use a camera; it built both creative and practical skills that carry over into other areas. This opportunity helped me move from just taking pictures to actually creating images with purpose. At the same time, it strengthens my creativity, and I start to see things differently, paying attention to details, colors, and patterns that most people overlook. It trained my eyes to think visually, which is useful in areas like marketing, presentations, and social media.

Program Competencies

  • Collaborate in teams utilizing interpersonal skills, recognizing and demonstrating sensitivity to different points of view.

  • Visual composition and design skills (framing, balance, contrast, perspective)

  • Photo editing and post-production using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom

  • Creative thinking and visual storytelling
